Privacy Policy
AIQ Rank is operated by Second Coffee, LLC. This policy explains what we collect, what the plugin uploads, and what stays on your machine.
The short version
AIQ Rank uploads aggregated usage metrics: daily activity counts, tool names, skill names, MCP server names, and how often each was used.
AIQ Rank does not upload prompts, responses, source code, terminal output, file contents, conversations, or transcript files.
Who we are
AIQ Rank is operated by Second Coffee, LLC, 3559 Mt Diablo Blvd #393, Lafayette, CA 94549. You can contact us at [email protected] .
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address, OAuth profile identifiers from sign-in providers you choose, profile handle, role and sharing settings, public profile choices, score data, and leaderboard participation choices.
When you use the plugin, it scans supported local AI coding history on your machine and uploads aggregated metrics. Those metrics can include daily activity counts, tool names, skill names, MCP server names, agent or source categories, and how often each was used.
The plugin can run local daily scans after setup to keep your score current. Those refreshes upload aggregated metrics only. Your raw transcript files and conversation contents stay on your machine.
Aggregated metrics may include the names of tools, skills, MCP servers, agents, and similar identifiers from your local AI coding history. These names can sometimes reveal the projects, companies, or internal systems you work on. Do not run AIQ Rank on histories containing names you are not comfortable sharing.
Information we do not collect
We do not upload prompts, responses, source code, terminal output, file contents, conversations, or transcript files. We also do not ask you to manually export or upload your local transcript files.
Sign-in records
When you sign in or link an account, we record the date and time of acceptance, the version of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you accepted, your IP address, and your browser's user agent. We use these records only for security, abuse prevention, and audit of consent.
Product update emails
We may occasionally email confirmed account holders about new AIQ Rank features, scoring changes, or other product news. These updates are separate from transactional emails such as sign-in links and account confirmations, which are always sent.
You can opt out at any time from your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any product update email. Opting out of product updates does not affect transactional emails required to operate your account.
How we use information
We use collected information to create and maintain your account, compute AIQ Rank scores, show your private dashboard, operate public profiles and leaderboards according to your settings, generate share cards, improve and calibrate scoring, troubleshoot the service, and detect abuse or score manipulation.
Public profiles and leaderboards
Your handle, score, tier, selected profile details, share card, and leaderboard placement may be public when sharing is enabled. Every supported source (Claude Code, Claude Cowork, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, Cursor) is visible by default once you have data for it โ there is no per-source opt-in. You can change public sharing controls from your AIQ Rank account; turning sharing off hides every source.
The names of the tools, skills, MCP servers, and agents you use are visible only to you on your own private dashboard. They are not shown on your public profile, on the leaderboard, on share cards, or to other users. If you associate your account with a company, that company can see those names for accounts associated with it.
Service providers
We use the following categories of service providers to operate AIQ Rank: hosting and database (Fly.io); email delivery (Amazon SES); and authentication (Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth). We do not currently use analytics or error monitoring. We may add Google Analytics in the future and will update this list when we do.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
Do Not Track and cross-site tracking
AIQ Rank does not currently use third-party advertising networks or cross-site behavioral advertising. Because there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track signals, we do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals at this time. If we add analytics or advertising technologies that collect information across websites or services, we will update this policy.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage for things like sign-in sessions, security, and theme preferences. We do not need cross-site tracking cookies to provide the core AIQ Rank service.
Children's privacy
AIQ Rank is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Access, correction, and deletion
You can review and update account details from your AIQ Rank settings. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing [email protected] .
Retention
We keep account and score data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information we process. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so you should also protect your own account, devices, and plugin installation.
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by California Civil Code ยง1798.82 and other applicable laws.
Company memberships
AIQ Rank lets you join a registered company so its admins can see team-wide adoption signals across tools.
-
Joining is opt-in via a single-use invite token, redeemed either in
the Claude Code plugin (
/aiqrank:company-join) or on the web. You see and confirm the consent text before any data is shared. - While you are a member, your full activity for that company โ sessions, tools, scores, score history, daily metrics โ becomes visible to that company's admins, regardless of your public-sharing setting.
-
Public profile visibility (
share_enabled) is unchanged outside the company surface. Setting your public profile to private does not block company-internal visibility once you've joined. -
You can leave at any time with
/aiqrank:company-leave <slug>or from the company page on the web. Leaving hard-deletes your membership row; we keep the join's consent timestamp and version on the (now-deleted) record only as an audit footprint. - You can belong to multiple companies; each sees only the same full data feed for you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AIQ Rank changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
